December

Spending December in Park City, Utah feels like living inside a snow globe. Fresh powder blankets the town, twinkle lights line Main Street, and the air always smells faintly of woodsmoke and pine. Mornings start with views of snow-capped mountains right outside the window, and the hardest decision is whether to hit the slopes at Deer Valley or Park City Mountain first. Afternoons are for wandering cozy streets, warming up with hot chocolate from a local café, or ducking into galleries and boutiques that look like they belong in a Hallmark movie. Evenings bring a different kind of magic — fireside dinners, holiday festivals, and the kind of quiet that only happens when snow muffles everything. It’s not just winter — it’s winter the way you dream about it.

Why Park City?
We chose Park City, Utah for December because it checked all the right winter boxes for us: tons of snow, amazing skiing, and serious "cute Christmas town" vibes. Plus, Halle’s dad lives nearby, which made it feel a little more like home for the holidays. Since December is our shortest rental month, a smaller city made sense — even if Park City’s prices definitely didn’t get the memo. Being close to Salt Lake City also gives us easy access to a bigger city if we need a little break from the snow globe life.
